To celebrate June Dairy Month, the Illinois Milk Producers Association along with our partners, Illinois Corn Growers Association, Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Farm Bureau and Prairie Farms Dairy made a donation of 26,000 pounds of milk to food banks across the state of Illinois

Each site received a combination of 1,500 half gallons of Prairie Farms 2%, Whole Milk and Lactose Free varieties. The sites in the Feeding Illinois Network receiving the donation were:

  • Tri State Food Bank in Vienna

  • Eastern Illinois Foodbank in Urbana

  • Central Illinois Food Bank in Springfield

  • Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva and

  • River Bend Food Bank in Galesburg

    Over the 4-year program over 82,000 pounds amounting to 157,000 servings has been donated.
